Interview process went well...until it didn't. The recruiter communicated in a timely manner, the director and marketing manger interviews went well and they immediately moved me to the next round. My final round was with the CMO and VP of performance, who both interrupted me on numerous occasions and even paused the interview to take a personal call at the end. Regardless, I remained professional and answered all their questions. The next day, the recruiter let me know that they are pausing the role to "get a better understanding of the role itself and the direction they want to go." This sounds like something that should have been discussed BEFORE posting the job and putting me through 4 rounds of interviews over 4 weeks. I find this reasoning to be a little disrespectful of everyone's time. Not a good look at all.
