Met with dept head for in person interview. The interview itself was easy, but the process as a whole came off unprofessional. Communication after the interview was scarce, and the department itself was disorganized in terms of hiring, interviewing candidates, setting expectations, and getting back to candidates in a timely manner. Going cold or leaving potential candidates hanging after stringing them along for nearly a month is very unprofessional, and I don't think I would apply again. I wouldn't accept the job either as if the hiring process was this disorganized, actually working there would probably be a nightmare.
