I applied online. I interviewed at First Command Financial Services (Dallas, TX)
Interview
Applied online and was brought in for an in-person panel interview with 3 people from HR. The questions they were asking made it clear they didn't read my resume since the experience they were asking about is not even close to what was on my resume. They were incredibly rude and even worse I later found out they withheld key information about the role I would be recruiting for. They never mentioned you are recruiting for a commission only job, that advisors pay for their own office space, and that sales leads are generated by basically harassing family and friends since they don't provide you with their own leads. This is a recruiter's nightmare and not knowing that going in is incredibly deceiving.

Question 1
Have you worked in the financial services industry before?
Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative interview experience. Please know your comments do not represent the experience we strive to provide all candidates, particularly those applying to become First Command Financial Advisors. This is a career for people with internal drive, entrepreneurial mindsets and a desire for professional growth. New Advisors go through an extensive training program designed to equip them to succeed as independent contractors. Advisors learn how to build and grow their own business, serve new clients and provide quality, face-to-face financial coaching. I will be sure to make our Leadership team aware of your concerns so we can continue to improve.
