I was ghosted. After receiving an initial rejection email for a position, I was contacted the very next day by HR to arrange a phone interview. I replied with some times later in the week that might work for my schedule and was called that same evening at 6:30pm, which was not one of the times I listed. They started by saying “Is now still a good time to talk?” Uh, sure. I was called for an in-person second interview the morning of Christmas Eve asking if I could come in that afternoon. Shockingly, I couldn’t, but was able to arrange something the following week. A third interview (in-person) was conducted about two weeks later. After waiting an additional two weeks for a response on next steps, I emailed HR to indicate I was still interested in the position and ask if they had a status update. I never received a response. I felt disrespected and that my time was wasted.
