I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Firstsource Solutions (Cardiff, Wales) in Mar 2019
Interview
After applying via a job website, i got an email next day regarding attending an event day For the same week. There was about ten of us in a room. Two first source staff explaining the job (apparently there were two positions, email correspondence advisor and customer servic advisor) explaining the perks and the events of that day. We had to then introduce ourselves, give an idea if we preferred the email job or the telephony job or if both were okay and we began a group task. We were split into two groups each group given 3 random objects and we had to implement them in a presentation about a smart meter. The other team chose to use puns of their items within their presentation. Our team chose an acting a role play scenario where we explained to a customer why a smart meter was great for them. Then we had a basic english and maths test. To see which role would be better for us. If you didn’t pass the test then more than likely you wouldnt get the email job. We then were shown the floors we would work on. And then returned back to the room to fill out some background checks. While they took us one by one for interviews. My interview was fairly straightforward, although in the email they said to research about the finance industry, no questions were asked about the finance industry. I was allowed home, and the next day got a phone call saying i was successful in both roles and which would i prefer. I chose the email correspondence role.

If a customer had been on an estimated bill for a while and then submitted a meter reading and then realised their bill was £2000 and they were not happy how would you deal with that?
