Super frustrating. First interview was a virtual 30 minute interview with the hiring manager that was pretty standard. Next interview was a few days later and was a 2 hour on-site interview with 3 individuals.
The two hour interview was okay BUT one of my one-on-ones was terrible. It was a complete change from our virtual interview. I asked them a few questions that were never directly answered. I asked how I compare to other applicants for this role and they said "Oh, you don't have enough experience for this role." I was a little confused at first because I was invited to this on-site interview after my first 30 min call. I asked "So are you saying I won't get this job?" to which they essentially replied "No, but maybe a different job down the line. you never know." This would have been nice to know before taking 2 hours out of my day to come to the office.
There were so many things about this interview that tipped me off that this is not the type of leadership that I would like to work with. The interviewer faced their computer the whole time instead of me. Didn't ask me any questions. Didn't give me a single helpful answer to any of my questions unless I pressed and asked 3 more follow up questions.
Overall a terrible interview.
