      Sales Interview

      Burlington, MA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fisher Agencies (Burlington, MA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

This isn't a sales role (Advertised as a sales rep role on jobsites) direct to consumer in home presentation type, you'll also work as 1099 contractor, no real formal interview packed in a room with a group or people, you have to pay for licensing for life insurance, offer you the job right away and expect you to make decision on the spot, real awkward hours and work on Saturdays. Typical entry level pyramid type wouldn't recommend if youre an experienced sales rep.

      Negative experience

      Application

I interviewed at Fisher Agencies (Austin, TX)

      Interview

The company lied to me on the telephone to obtain an interview. The person on the phone represented themselves as calling from The Basu Agency, not the Fisher Group, and that they had received my application via the internet and wanted to schedule an interview. I did not recognize the name of the company, could not recall ever applying for any position, and a check of my account revealed I did not.

      Interview

I got a call from someone who found my resume online stating that they "wanted me to come in for an interview." Weird. Nothing about the position or the organization, just a "come on in and interview." I was skeptical, so I took to Glassdoor to find out what this "Fisher Agencies" was all about. I am glad I did. Not only was this voicemail completely unprofessional and cryptic, when I called to inform them I wasn't interested, I was hung up on by a very confused-sounding young woman. First of all, if you are recruiting someone for a role, don't give them the hard sell that they have to come in for an interview right way. Secondly, when I called, it sounded like the room from the movie "Boiler Room" and that there were about 50 people manning the phone lines. Red flags all around. Run, run, run as fast as you can!
