Flew to Portland, company provided rental car and hotel. Interview was next morning. Basic tour first, then minor background discussion. Interviewed with a few department heads, with standard interview questions - experience relevant to position, thoughts on fisher, etc. After that a couple quick interviews with somewhat junior employees. The biggest takeaway I had from the process was that Fisher is incredibly secretive about the interview process progression, as well as the candidates performance. Asking questions like, "Is there anything about my candidacy that concerns you", gets you a standard by the book answer of "no" or something similar. The people are nice enough, but always give the impression that you are on the right track in terms of answers and the interview process. You leave feeling optimistic about the process. I received a quick call from HR saying they were not continuing. No questions answered by HR, no feedback. Nothing, except generalized legalese about not providing feedback. My impression was that they are terrified of any possible lawsuits from discriminatory practices and bend over backwards to avoid anything like that. While I understand the thinking, not providing ANY feedback is a huge disservice to both company and candidate. Overall, not impressed with the process except the actual trip to the Portland area (they are in Camas, WA).
