Question 1
What previous experiences would lend themselves to this role?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments in Nov 2013
Interview
Had 3 phone interviews. The first one was just general information collecting type of interview. The 2nd was an interview with a recruiter and the last one was with a FI employee in Senior Management positions. Since the company is located in the West Coast and I lived far from the West Coast most of my interviews were via phone. I heard that some people got the opportunity to visit the headquarters for their interviews. However, I did not feel this caused any disadvantages.
