I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2021
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for a role and he said the position I applied for may have been too junior with my experience. He proposed a more senior role for me and had one of the senior recruiters reach out to me. I had a one hour interview with the recruiter which consisted of background of previous experience and some typical behavioral interview questions. The recruiter then set up
two 45 minute interviews with other investment counselors by Zoom and a mock client call. A week later the recruiter said everything went well and set up a call with the regional manager who oversees the Investment counselors in the region I was applying for. A week later I was contacted a proposed an offer that I accepted.

Question 1
Why Fisher Investments?
What are the benefits of active vs. passive management.
The initial phone interview felt incredibly rushed. Despite the position being marketed as a wealth management role, it is essentially a high-volume asset-retention phone center. The day-to-day focus is simply convincing clients not to transfer their money out of the firm rather than providing actual, comprehensive wealth management or tailored financial planning services. Very misleading job description.

Overall process what a little lengthily but interview process was nothing to overly stress about. The first round was an initial screening, covering mostly the position itself and what to expect moving forward. The second-round interview did include a mock client call in which some material was provided beforehand to review.
