Kind of a bummer. I was scouted by a recruiter within the company and we had two phone interviews - during this entire process, I brought up a few times that I didn't have a securities license, and he said that wasn't a problem, it was mostly a client service position and that they could train me on stocks, securities, markets, etc and would sponsor me getting my series licenses - "you don't need to worry about any of that stuff right now, just show us you can take care of the client."
Great! Passed the background check and my references were contacted. Cool!
I then went into a three-hour marathon zoom interview with three people in the office, two of whom were really hitting me hard with very specific questions about how much attention I had been paying to markets, my thoughts on different stocks in particular, and a bunch of questions on adjacent issues. I was woefully unprepared as a result of being told not to worry about answering these questions.
Anyway, all that said, everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and punctual, I just wish I'd been given more tools to succeed during this process as I think I would have been really good at the job. I also don't know why I wasn't hired as I was told it was "not their policy to give feedback," which is weird.
