I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in Jul 2024
Interview
I was contacted by recruiter through LinkedIn. From then I had two separate job fit interviews with recruiters. The second interview had some light questions in regards to my opinion on the market and what areas I felt bullish or bearish on.
After that I had to go through a background check before my final interview. Once the results came back I was scheduled for my final interview, which was on site.
When arriving I was informed I was going to be given a tour of the place and then sit for a 4 round interview. However it turned out to only be 3 because the VP mentioned to me was no longer available for the 4th interview. As far as difficulty goes, round 1 with first interviewer was by far the most difficult. The manager knew that I was not an already practicing financial advisor, so I felt that he grilled me every way from Sunday on financial terms related to investments and 2-3 questions on how I would suggest people invest their assets.
Then the 2nd interview round was the mock call which was the easiest part. Then in the 3rd round I felt it was a job fit type conversation and how my goals align with the company.
Overall it was a good learning experience, I had no idea the multi interview session would be so challenging. I would really suggest to any future applicants to really study up on terms like yield curve/bonds/stocks/social security and retirement timelines and situations like multiple scenarios of people needing to invest and what you would recommend based on their timelines and goals. Also study front to back any material provided from Ken Fisher.

Question 1
I am approaching the social security age range, based on my goals of [insert random details] should I wait to claim full benefits or should I claim it early and take a hit?
The initial phone interview felt incredibly rushed. Despite the position being marketed as a wealth management role, it is essentially a high-volume asset-retention phone center. The day-to-day focus is simply convincing clients not to transfer their money out of the firm rather than providing actual, comprehensive wealth management or tailored financial planning services. Very misleading job description.

I applied online. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2026
Interview
Overall process what a little lengthily but interview process was nothing to overly stress about. The first round was an initial screening, covering mostly the position itself and what to expect moving forward. The second-round interview did include a mock client call in which some material was provided beforehand to review.
