I was recently invited to an interview with a FL company working on LNP. It was clear that the hiring manager did not pay much attention of my resume or onsite schedule before inviting me to an onsite interview. There are red flags throughout the process: 1. the entire interview scheduled was completely different than what was sent to me in the schedule and was 1hour longer, 2. HM would suggest to take a break at 45min in an 1hour technical interview and even pressured a time check to wrap up presentation at 40min and commented “you touched lots of things”, 3. the initially booked interview room for 15 people can only accommodate 6 people, 4. HM acted deaf twice when I mentioned the garage was packed and had to spend 30min to park elsewhere and come back, 5. there was limited eye contact during 1:1 interview and he was constantly looking elsewhere, 6. What was said from the team was very different from the HM in terms of resources planned for this function.
I personally think it is a waste of candidate and hiring teams time to invite candidates but already have other candidates in mind. It was also unprofessional to talk down to candidates that “you look like you don’t understand what I am talking about”when all he described was basic knowledge of LNP and I was clearly able to understand with no sign of looking confused.
