Two days after applying online, I received a voicemail requesting me to call back to discuss the Operations Manager position. I returned the call that evening and left a voicemail...didn't hear back for two days, so called once again to set-up a phone interview 3 days later.
The HR representative called 15 minutes late and the initial interview took about 20 minutes. It was full of in-depth questions regarding what I knew about retail management and how I would apply my skills and knowledge to the role. She openly mentioned the position being 50 hours/week with 80 hours/week during the holiday season, all while salary.
At the end of the phone interview, she invited me to an in-person interview 4 days later with her and the store manager. Upon arriving at the store, I checked in with the customer service desk and was escorted to a training room by the store manager. Within minutes, he and HR sat down with me for our 15 minute interview. The store manager definitely took head on the interview and didn't seem very interested. There was slight discussion about salary, with no input from either of them about what their target salary was.
Ultimately, I got a denial email a few days later, which adhered to the estimate they provided me after conducting other interviews. I've seen the job posting 3 more times since my interview, so candidates must be sliiiiim pickins!
