The recruiter was prompt and friendly, and I appreciated that they were up front about salary ranges. I felt that our initial conversation went very well, and was pretty hyped on the company and the role. I ended up getting a canned rejection email after my initial phone interview. I did reply to the recruiter thanking them for their time and asking if there was any more specific feedback they could give me, but received no reply. I completely understand not moving forward in the process, but after spending hours preparing for a phone screen, I do wish Fleetio would take a moment to jot even a one-line note about why I wasn't the right fit. For example, was it simply too competitive a pool of applicants, or was there something I can do differently in the future to make me stand out as a potential employee? Companies that take the time to provide feedback show me that recognize that I'm a human instead of simply a potential resource, and ensure I will apply there again if the opportunity arises. Alas, Fleetio is off my list of potential employers moving forward. Onward!
