      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Florida Blue (Jacksonville, FL) in Oct 2018

      Interview

I went to an info session and applied in person at the career fair and got an on campus interview offer there. Went to the on campus interview and heard back after the weekend with an offer to fly to Jacksonville in two weeks for the on-site interviews. They covered airfare, hotel, transportation, etc. and everyone was friendly and prompt with their help when I asked questions and needed to book things. We were assigned an actuary partner to answer our questions and we had dinner with all the interviewees and partners the day we flew in. Then the next day, we had 30 minute interviews with seven different actuaries/managers and a tour of the Florida Blue campus. Then we all left. I didn't hear back for two weeks so I asked for an update and they said they went with other candidates. Overall, everyone was super nice and friendly. They truly have a great recruitment ethos and don't answer hard and boring behavioral questions, it was really more like a conversation between me and the interviewers. There were about sixteen people chosen for the on-site interviews and four spots open so even the on-site interviews were very competitive. I had a great experience during the interviews, everyone was very respectful and we were treated as equals, not students or children.
