Definitely was an unnecessary long interviewing process. I didn’t like the fact I was ghosted after receiving HR documentation to fill out for the accounting generalist role which I was told to submit back via email and would hear back for further steps to get onboarded (I followed up about a week later, and didn’t receive a response since then). Fortunately for me, it was likely the best given these were hidden red flags about the company thinking back on it now. This interview I had with Flowers Food was in 2020. I received a phone screen (10-20 minutes) then a 1-hour in-person 3-person group panel interview with management and a few team members (a bit informational but more technical and behavioral in terms of questioning) and after that I received a 30-50 minute second in-person 1 on 1 interview which was a shadowing of the role with a team member from the first interview. This was primarily technical by showing the software used e.g. SAP, Excel, Blackline along with questioning accounting debits and credits for entries and calculations. Questions were quite deep and they really dug into my answers for an entry level role. Shows that this company isn’t willing to train someone.
