I printed out an online application and I took it into the store. I was called 2-3 weeks later by the lead cashier at roughly 10am and was told they were holding interviews until 11. She asked if I could come in and I said yes. I went in and told an employee that was standing by the office that I'm here for an interview. The lead cashier came out and then asked the manager what position I would be on and the manager said Courtesy Clerk. She asked me if I had access to transportation, what hours I was available, and if I could work holidays. Those were the only questions. Then I filled out a W-2 or W-4 (I can't remember). The form was literally a screenshot from the internet and I had no idea what I was signing since I've never filled one out. She didn't volunteer much information but I extracted that the hours were from 3pm-10pm, minimum wage. The days I worked would vary but I'd mostly be working 3 days a week, sometimes more. She said she would call back after they sent that form to corporate for a background check. I didn't get a call back because when I got home my phone service was out. So I called back the next day and spoke to the manager on duty and he told me that apparently I was scheduled to work that day and I needed to come in to fill out more papers.
