I applied online. I interviewed at Foot Locker (Birmingham, England)
Interview
Applied online through their website. First time got no responses (maybe I wasn't good enough or too many applicants). After a couple months, applied again and got a call a couple days later calling me in for an interview.
Was a group interview and laid back. Would advise to just look casually well dressed with sneakers on. No need for a suit or go over the top.
Got a call 3 days later inviting me for my induction and start the following week.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Pick a shoe off the wall that represents you/you favorite and tell the group why.
The interview setting is a group interview. Everyone was dressed somewhat casually and in their favourite sneakers. We were interviewed by the store manager and an assistant manager in both English and French since it was in Quebec. The questions were relatively easy, and it was easy to get your personality out there in this kind of environment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If an item was out of stock, how would you handle that situation with a customer?
I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.
It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
