I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Foot Locker (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2011
Interview
I arrived 15 minutes early I waited there for almost 2 hours because the interviewing manager left and went on a break. finally another manager came to ask me did I need some help because I had been waiting for so long and he decided to interview me. we went to the food court and the process was easy he asked me to sell him a pen. how would I go about telling him the benefits of it.
The interview setting is a group interview. Everyone was dressed somewhat casually and in their favourite sneakers. We were interviewed by the store manager and an assistant manager in both English and French since it was in Quebec. The questions were relatively easy, and it was easy to get your personality out there in this kind of environment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If an item was out of stock, how would you handle that situation with a customer?
I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.
It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
