1 - Applied on LinkedIn. 2 - Received an email with questions to answer. 3 - Completed a phone screen. 4 - Scheduled a second interview with a so-called Senior QA Engineer. The interviewer was very unprofessional and kept interrupting me. Based on our conversation, they seem to be looking for a QA Architect, not a Junior QA Engineer. He mentioned that they are just starting to set up automation, as they currently rely mostly on manual testing. It seems they labeled the position as Junior QA to offer a lower salary while expecting more advanced work. I answered his questions very well, and if they were genuinely hiring for a Junior QA role, I should have been able to move to the next round. I am still trying to understand how this person is considered a Senior QA Engineer and a lead. It’s very confusing. Anyone who has interviewed with him would probably understand what I mean.
