Interview
The interviewer sent me her availability to schedule a phone interview. After choosing the time that worked best for me she emailed me back to say that time didn’t work for her, so I rescheduled. She did call on time but informed me that she wanted to be transparent and let me know she only had 10-15 minutes because she had another meeting to go to. Overall negative impression.
Interview was very rough. Recruiter called late as all other reviews suggested. The interviewer had no interview questions prepared and expected me to just read her mind on what she was looking for. When she was wrapping up with salary expectations, she stated a salary that is vastly below market and well below the Glassdoor average. This all came AFTER they had me take IQ tests. All-in-all, there are way more opportunities out there so you should look elsewhere.
I applied online. I interviewed at Four Winds Interactive (Denver, CO) in Aug 2017
Interview
The interview was 4 stages:
1. 30-min Recruiter call
2. Wonderlic test (50 questions, 15 mins)
3. Take home assignment to complete a wireframe and SOW for a business case. (~2 hours of work)
4. In person 2.5 hours long interview with 6 people -- all of which were very informative
The recruiter was on and off about following up and at the end of my in-person interview, let me know that the team has decided to put the position on hold indefinitely! This was less than 1 full business day after my interview. I found this very unprofessional. I would have appreciated this information prior to my interview. I could have used that time to prepare for other interviews. I think it is important to be honest and upfront with your candidates during the process. Time is precious resource--respect other people's time!
