I was contacted by the recruiter via LinkedIn. The process took about 8 weeks in all. The first round was within a week. As the job role required German language knowledge, there was another round in the following week. I was invited for a personal round in their office in Warsaw. This was a standard interview with 3 interviewers (one of them was the HR and other two were domain experts). At the end of the interview I was told that I would receive a reply in 3 days. But that never happened. Each time I checked with the recruiter on LinkedIn, there was no clear answer and I was always asked to follow up a week later. This procrastination and ghosting continued for 4 weeks (I think they were meeting more candidates in the meantime). While I was interviewing multiple positions in the beginning (during the personal interview week), the recruiter hinted me to put a hold on to those processes as this was almost in the final stage. Being ghosted after all this was insane. Ultimately I had to put my foot down and ask for a final decision (by the end of 2 months of endless waiting).. that was when I received a rejection email from a new recruiter this time, who was never in the picture before. I never heard from the first recruiter via LinkedIn or email Later I figured that they have hired a person with more years of experience for this Junior/beginner role.
