The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Franklin Templeton (Sacramento, CA) in Nov 2009
Interview
Met the recruiter at a college Internship and Career Fair, learned more about the position and my resume was reviewed by the recruiter and he gave me his card in case I had anymore questions. I was later contacted for an in-person interview. When I arrived I filled out an employment application and was interviewed by someone in HR where she asked me about 12 questions from a standardized packet I believe they use the same packet for each candidate. And at that time I was notified that the process is extremely long as they would be interviewing internal as well as external candidates. Then, after about 1 month I contacted my interviewer twice and left a voicemail and never revieved a response. I then contacted the recruiter who I initially spoke with at the career fair and he never responded till about March 2010, which was 3 months after I interviewed and notified me that I had not been selected.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Franklin Templeton (New York, NY) in Dec 2024
Interview
It is a very competitive (only around 8 spots with 4 being in NYC), and I was also a former intern who received multiple referrals. But the interviews are mostly behavioral and want to see a genuine interest in the industry and some relevant experience (like student investment fund), as well as eagerness to learn about the whole industry (it is a rotational program). For my year, there was an emphasis on investment management. But the people are very easy to talk to, in my opinion.
I interviewed at Franklin Templeton (New York, NY)
Interview
Behavioral focused, really focused on understanding you as a person. Panel style so multiple people on at once. Definitely prepare and be ready to answer various styles of questions. Kind of a slow process that started out with a long phone call screen.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Franklin Templeton
Interview
Preliminary HR phone call followed by two interviews. They want to know if you are apt to change since its a rotational program. They also want to know that you have intellectual curiosity.
