There was a phone screening that appeared to go well with the HR rep. The position was supposed to be a dire need to be filed "immediately". A follow-up email was sent to determine the next steps to HR rep a week after the phone screening. HR rep emails back a few days later stating that they were "waiting to hear from hiring manager". On the very next day, an email was sent to me where "two 30 minute calls with the team" and I would need to select a date and time. I have selected my date and time but no response back to confirm my date and time-frame. On the date I have selected, I did not receive a phone call for the phone interview. I have called and left a voicemail to the HR rep and also email stating that I was willing to wait for 30 mins. Later on in that day, an email response returned stating "The direction of this position has completely changed per call with the hiring manager this morning." On the very next day, the robo-email with the following: "A position for which you applied has been canceled due to a change in business needs".
