Applied online, recruiter contacted me for a phone interview, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then invited for an in person, 4 panel interview. Everything was standard, the recruiter was great. But the last interview with a VP, asked me which country I was from, and laughed at my experience. Was surprised they contacted me to provide references. Then after references, I was not selected. I think this was for the best, had a bad taste after the last interview, felt degraded and having a very Higher Up leader be really impatient with my answers, interrupt me, and when I tried to answer his questions, he would continuously interrupt, he was really loud, and basically it was 30-40 minutes of just really instilling a bad image about Freddie Mac for me. Really bad experience. But overall everything was very organized, and most of the interviewers were really nice, but just the last interview was really something. Considering this is a role within HR, to have a one of the people in high ranking ask me what country I am from is actually illegal.
