Multifamily Real Estate Analyst Program Interview

      Nov 13, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      McLean, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Freddie Mac (McLean, VA) in Nov 2018

      Interview

The interview process was pretty easy and straightforward but the hiring managers do not tell you if you did not make it to the next round, which sucks. The first round is a video interview where they ask questions such as: Why did you chose your major? What does Freddie Mac do? Why Freddie Mac? The second round is a phone screen where they ask about your past experiences as well as ask behavioral questions. With the phone screen, they also ask what areas of interest you're looking into when applying to this program as well as office location/preference. The last step is Freddie Day. Which is split into two days; a reception and interviews. The reception includes mingling with other candidates as well as analysts and interviewers. This happens on the evening before the interviews. The following day the interviews take place, there is two rounds of 2:1 interviews where they ask your general interview questions. Supposedly you are to hear back with a job offer the following day. I unfortunately did not hear back the following day nor did I hear back at all with a rejection notice, which I find unprofessional and a bit rude, as all the candidates have the right to know if they will be receiving an offer or not. This was my only poor and negative experience with Freddie Mac.
