I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Freddie Mac (McLean, VA) in Oct 2018
Interview
First interview: The first interview is a video interview (microphone and webcam needed). You are speaking to pre-recordings of associates who are asking you questions, you are given a short amount of time to think about your response and to answer. The questions are all behavioral.
Second interview: The second interview is a phone interview where you are asked more behavioral questions from the manager of the department you are given. The interview lasts 30 minutes.
Third interview: Two interviews are given within two different departments during Freddie Day. Each interview is 30 minutes. The night before Freddie Day, they host a reception (I highly recommend you attend) where you get to meet other candidates and ask questions to managers in different deaprtments. On Freddie Day, you are given a free breakfast and the opportunity to hear from a panel of Technology Analysts. After this, you are given your interview schedule, split off into two groups. One group starts with interviews, the other starts with a tour. I interviewed with the Systems Analysis department and the Project Management department. Both interviewers were very nice and made me feel at home.
The Systems Analysis interview was behavioral and technical. They had a loan chart with different prices on it and asked how I would evaluate the information. They also asked me how I would merge two different tables in SQL, followed by some more questions about it.
The Project Management interview was strictly behavioral. Most questions revolved around different proejcts I had worked on in school.
Overall, the interview was between average and easy. I used Glassdoor to help me prepare for the interview. I wasn't asked many operating langauge questions as some others, but I believe it depends on the department you are applying to.

Pre recorded questions you had to answer. They gave you a practice question and then gave you about a minute to answer each question. They also gave you a few seconds between asking the question and requiring you to answer for you to gather your thoughts.

Describe a new piece of technology you have encountered and how you went about learning about it.
Very nice hiring manager. Interview was mostly behavioral and asked about prior experiences that relate to the position. Only thing was that it was a tad bit fast, only like 30-40 min

two rounds of interviews one video interview and another face to face interview done virtually, both were simple not very hard on the technical side. Follow ups are little to non existent, very bad communication after the interview is done.
