My interview experience with this company was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After the initial video interview, they sent several assessments to complete: 1-A behavior and workplace assessment that took over an hour. I received a link with the result and able to download a pdf, I was really happy about the results because it was really insightful and valuable for the job position. 2-A video submission where you had to record yourself answering questions without any reference materials. It took like 30 minutes 3-A technical writer assessment requiring comprehensive documentation for five features of poorly documented software. You had to choose one of three products and create the entire documentation, and includes some confusing API test and documentation with some questions. At the end it was 7. This task took me a full week to complete, requiring meticulous work to organize and clarify the given disorganized materials. It took me like one entire week to research, gather and create the entire documentation. The recruiter, a Colombian gentleman, initially seemed enthusiastic about my profile. Given my extensive experience exceeding their requirements, I thought this was a promising opportunity. However, communication quickly became a major issue. Two weeks after submitting the assessments, I received an email stating, "We sent you an email last week with the response of your recruitment state," which I never received. Upon following up, a different recruiter informed me that they had chosen another candidate supposedly better suited for the position. The entire process felt disrespectful, especially considering the effort I put into creating documentation from scratch due to the subpar, outdated and weak materials they provided. The recruiters displayed a clear lack of professionalism, work ethics, and communication skills. The generic rejection emails provided no useful feedback, leaving me frustrated and disheartened. I do not recommend this company. If their process is this arduous for a technical writer position, I can only imagine how challenging it would be for a software engineering role. The experience felt less about assessing my capabilities and more about whether they personally liked me, which is both unfair and unprofessional. Despite being social and talkative, I felt undervalued and overlooked. This experience was a significant waste of time and effort.
