I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fungible (Santa Clara, CA) in May 2017
Interview
I had two rounds of interview - one screening and onf full round. 5 people interviewed including VPs and engineers. Though the interviews were tough and detailed, people were very nice. They gave you the impression that they were trying to hire you not the other way around looking for a reason to reject you. It proves what I believe - prepare well and you will get hired - if your background is relevant to the company.
My interview involved ~5 rounds. One round was about interviewer talking about the company's goals. The rest of the rounds focused on Storage, Python libraries and automation in general.
The interviewers appeared knowledgeable about their domains and were patient to let me correct my wrong answers.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fungible (Santa Clara, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
One onsite screening. Two 2 on 1 onsite interviews. The first round with QA head. He seemed nice guy and asked all work related experience. 2nd round: 2 QA engineers. One of them was too arrogant and was not competent enough and insecured. Asked random questions about the storage features which I have not worked on. Then Linux commands with options like -h, -l etc. I mean seriously, this is how you evaluate? The other guy was ok. Next round with 2 developers were good, but both lacked energy. You don't want to be part of the team where you get negative vibes.
