I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Funko (Everett, WA) in Feb 2017
Interview
The phone interview lasted about 15 minutes. The Talent Acquisition employee that was conducting the interview was in an extremely bad mood and informed me he was filling in conducting interviews for the People Partner position, mostly sounded like he was not happy about it and let me tell you why. I asked him to repeat a question once, I wasn't sure if he ask about FLSA or FMLA. The Talent Acquisition employee snapped back with "FLSA, do you even know what that mean?". I briefly answered "Of course, Fair Labor Standards Act and gave him the definition of the law. The Talent Acquisition only ask 4 questions: 1) Tell me about your resume? (this is a lazy interview question, clearly you have the candidates resume in front of your already) 2) FLSA question above 3) If I have ever conducted a FLSA audit? 4) Do you have any questions I can answer? I did my research on Glass Door and read through most of the employee responds, most of them were extremely negative. I ask about what the HR department were doing or the steps they were taking in order to overcome the negative comments found on Glass Door. The only responds I received….. "We know about this already." The last question I asked was about the employee handbook. The responds I received back "We don't want something that’s going to tell us what we can't do, we would rather have something that tells us what we can do". I guess I should have repeated the question but rather end this extremely negative phone environment. As an HR professional, this might have been the worse phone interview I have ever been a part of. Warning to all candidates out there. If this doesn't give you a glimpse of the company culture, I'm not sure what would.
