Very slow and frustrating process. I had 3-4 interviews over the span of 3 months. First one was just informational and kind of getting to know each other thing (phone screening). The rest was about my research and some AI/ML questions (e.g., how do word embedding and lda work if you were to implement them from scratch). I got the offer and filled out the export license form. After two weeks I didn't hear back from them. I emailed them and they said they are revoking the offer as the whole project is getting cancelled. This was not true of course, because they have restrictions for hiring ppl from certain nations (those under U.S. sanctions). I knew this upfront but I was about to get my green card (GC) very soon and told them this tons of time. They seemed to be okay with the fact that I'm getting the GC, but after two weeks they realized they have to make up a nonsense excuse to turn down the offer to avoid headache. I wish they were at least honest for the courtesy. Avoid this company if you are from those nations (if you are, you know what nations I'm talking about)!
