I applied online. I interviewed at G4S Secure Solutions (Sacramento, CA) in Jun 2014
Interview
I interviewed over the phone, initially, as the district office is located in Sacramento but the client site was located in Humboldt County(a 6 hr drive from there) and at the time I was living in San Diego County but fixing to re-locate to Humboldt County. I first spoke with the head of H.R. Then had a phone panel interview with the Captain of all of the Captains and the Security Officers, under them. They asked me a series of questions, and then made a job offer, which I accepted. I was then allowed to give 2 week notice to my current employer and then had to drive to Sacramento and do a week of training which included OJT, before being assigned full time to the Client Site in Arcata, CA.

Easy interview. Got offered a supervisor role at another site. Receptionist was rude. They did not interview me for the job I applied for, instead offered me something that better fit my resume. If you have management or supervisor y experience make sure they know!

Long background investigation, G4S just wants warm bodies to fill posts, if you have the right permit an offer will be made on the spot, very few questions are asked since they only want warm bodies to fill posts, will not be given a permanent post, will be forced to travel all over the county.
