I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GE (London, England) in Jan 2011
Interview
There were two telephone interviews, the first with HR and the second with a member of the finance team. Both asked pretty standard questions. The final part of the process was a day-long interview that had four interviews with separate members of the finance team (all one-on-one) a finance test (if you do well in the interviews, this test doesn't really count. I barely passed) and concluded with a series of group activities. Bear in mind that the group activities are not about getting the "right" answer, they're about how you work within a team and if you're able to encourage consensus and listen to ideas and persuade others of your own idea.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They did ask some nonsense questions i.e. how do you weigh an airplane that is standing on the runway.
Someone screened the resumes and then reached out if they were interested in interviewing you. The first interview was a phone interview. If you pass that, then the next interview would be in person.

Interview
First video interview directly with Hiring Manager about previous roles and experiences. What type of risks and responsibilities were involved in my last job. Very easygoing and conversational. The meeting was scheduled for an hour but the interview lasted only 45 minutes.
