I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GE (Greenville, SC) in Sep 2015
Interview
I got an on campus interview following the career fair at my school. This was a 30 minute interview that was all situational questions. Felt a little uncomfortable as the interviewer was writing everything down on their tablet the entire time.
Following the on campus interview, I received notice a couple weeks later that I was invited back for an on-site interview. Everything was paid for (travel, housing, etc) and it was a rigorous all day interview. I think there was a total of 6, 30 minute interviews. Again, all of these interviews were very situational questions, none of them were technical questions. This followed by a brief plant tour as well.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GE in Jan 2022
Interview
It was a long process but quick. The initial interview (phone screening) was with a recruiter, and it was just some basic questions about my interest in the position. The second interview was with two hiring managers, and the final one was with a team of 6 people (potential co-workers)
Most of the interview questions were situational questions. I recommend you familiarize yourself with a lot of situational questions and try to link them to any related experience you had.
Try to be realistic as much as possible because each question you answer might lead to another.
