You are unable to move forward in the questionnaire without supplying this information, so not sure how this is "voluntary". I wouldn't mind providing the information if I had completed the interview process, an offer was made and this was part of a background check; however, all of this was required without even a guarantee of a phone screen! In today's environment of identity theft and age discrimination, you would think a large organization like GEICO would recognize that making such sensitive information a requirement of the application process will diminish their applicant pool.
