I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Independence, MO) in Jul 2019
Interview
Applied on Geico website. Was then sent a link to multiple assessments. These were very generic personality and problem solving types of tests. These tests take a decent chunk of time, more than they should for this just being preliminary. Then I was emailed that I had “passed” the tests and would have a video interview. Not so fast, it’s just the type where you sit in front of your cam and talk. Basically a fake interview. Not my first rodeo, but it’s about 20 questions and answering takes a lot of time as these are open ended verbal essays essentially. This took about as long as the tests. At this point I had likely spent about 3-4 hours of my time for Geico without having spoken to a human about the job or emailed with anyone. A couple weeks later I received the form email that I was not selected for the position. I have recently started a position working claims with a much better company that took the time to actually speak to me and meet in person multiple times so I’m obviously not here just to whine about not getting hired. Frankly, I’m glad I wasn’t. Geico likely has the revolving door theory of hiring as their practices are pretty much the lowest tier imaginable. You should not waste your valuable time trying to get hired here. They really just don’t deserve good candidates if they refuse to actually do work to find good people and instead delegate that responsibility to computers.

Question 1
What experience do you have working with customers?
Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025
Interview
applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Lincoln, NE) in Jul 2025
Interview
I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
