I applied online and received a request to do an assessment online within 72 hours a few hours later. The assessment consisted of a reading sample and naming how many boxes were stacked on each other . After passing this within 24 hours they requested a virtual interview. This interview had about 25 questions, STAR format and I had to record myself answering the questions they asked. They give you three times each to rerecord an answer should you mess up. A few days later I was invited to the in person interview in Chamblee GA ( 1 hr away with traffic) . As I have a Masters and I am an experienced adjuster, I was just expecting to do an in person interview ( I brought my resume binder and studied extensively about the company and position) . When I got there I had to sit in an interview room while the recruiter prepared the mock scene. Upon walking in everyone was starring at me from their tiny little desk and it looked tight and uncomfortable in there . NOW... The nightmare begins. I was given a huge stack of papers and an old fashioned recorder to listen to a 30 minute recording of what was to come . You go through paper after paper of useless information that is supposed to relay what you are supposed to be doing in the job . Then 30 minutes later you get a call from a fake adjuster with a bunch of information. a few minutes after that a fake body shop person (the recruiter) comes in with an employee pretending to be body shop mechanic. He is rude and the process is weird and confusing. I'm used to rude people on the phone so this didn't shake me. What shook me is after terribly failing the scene, you receive another phone call, two more folders on top of all that paperwork, and then the mechanic comes back twice and you are expected to know how to handle all of this. This was extremely humiliating and I wanted to cry afterwards. the recruiter has the nerve to smugly come in and ask you how you think you did afterwards... I wasted time spending hours on all of the recruiting process to take this test and lose the opportunity. I told the recruiter I believe I did bad and he said "Ok , well let me walk you out" . Again everyone stared at me perhaps knowing that I failed as I was getting walked out . That was the most pointless and humiliating interview ive ever done in my life. On top of that I am told a huge portion of your hair is cut for the test, why not use a regular urine sample like every other company ? All of this for a n entry level position making 44k is not worth it . I have a bad taste in my mouth after this experience. Jokes on them , the NEXT day I had an interview with another insurance company who started me at 50 as an entry level liability adjuster , they are 10 min from my house, I make my own hours, don't work a rotating Saturday, and the interview was BEAUTIFUL, I was hired on the spot :)
