      Emergency Roadside Assistant Interview

      Jan 7, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Macon, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Macon, GA) in Jan 2020

      Interview

The interview process is quite long. I applied online and received a call a few days later for a phone interview. It lasted about 15-20 minutes asking about my resume, company salary, availability, etc. I was asked to come in for testing a few days later. I was there for 6 hours arriving at 8am. First you do a multitasking test requiring you to learn a simulated company computer system in a given time of about 8 minutes. After the 8 minutes is up you will have a practice test where the system will give a series of phone calls and emails. You will have to enter the information given such as name, location, provider, etc. into the correct blanks given in 60 seconds or less. After those 60 seconds are over you must move on to the next customer. The next portion is a typing test. Don't worry do not try to rush at a pace you cannot keep up with as you will not be able to type the entire paragraph or correct mistakes. Focus on YOUR typing speed and accuracy. You will have a practice round of the multitask and typing test. The second time around is the real test. Focus on making improvements on both tests. If you do not pass they will call you out of the room and most likely tell you someone will call you if hired. If you stay in the room, you passed. Afterwards, you move onto the first interview/personality test. You will be asked questions about your resume and asked about certain customer service scenarios. If you pass that test, you will move on to the role play test. You will be seated in a room for about 10-15 minutes studying a package they gave you. You must display professionalism and a sincere desire to help the customer. If you pass this, you will asked to shadow a current employee and get a feel for what a real phone call will sound like. Then, you have your final interview with the hiring manager where they will ask what information did you receive from shadowing the employee. They will ask more questions about your resume, talk about salary, give a quick rundown of what to expect, and ask will you accept the job. If you do not receive a job offer after this whole process then you most likely did not get the job. After you singing paperwork accepting the job you will report for a drug test and background check.
