I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2019
Interview
Applied online and received an email in a few days to schedule phone call. Phone screening seemed more procedural (asking if hours and location worked, why I left last jobs) and I scheduled the test screening at end of call. Screening test was fairly easy, you input customer information based on recordings and a typing test at the end. I tested with 4 other people and all 5 of us passed. At end of test if you pass you schedule your interview. Interview is fairly straightforward, as far as meeting with managers I think it’s just about building a rapport with them and showcasing how you can do the job. I have no insurance experience but highlighted my soft skills and experience that would transfer well. For the role play I just recommend staying calm and just giving great customer service throughout the process. At the end of the role playing segment I shadowed another agent, and was offered the job once I met with the last manager. The background process is very long, took several weeks to hear anything back, but I’ve heard nothing but great things about how employees are treated by the company so I decided to stick it out.

Question 1
Tell me about a time that you faced a difficult situation and how did you deal with it?
I aced the computer-based test. It was stuff that I knew from my years in retail. During the first interview, I was told that they could not find a manager for the second interview and excitedly told me if I did not hear from them to call them Friday of that week. That day I was sent a denial in an email and was frankly disappointed that they got my hopes up for a second interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO (Lakeland, FL) in Aug 2020
Interview
Very long interview process. After applying you are invited to do a personality test and run a simulation program to test multitasking. You are then scheduled to do a phone interview that lasts about an hour mostly focusing on what you would do in hypothetical situations and previous work experience. After this, you are scheduled for a role-play interview online which can be very tricky and definitely the hardest part of the interview process, try to read the documents provided thoroughly and take notes. After that you do a video interview with a hiring manager answering further questions. I took me about 2 weeks but you can theoretically schedule everything in the same day.
