      Senior Support Manager [SSM] Interview

      Oct 12, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Cochin
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gallagher (Cochin) in Oct 2025

      Interview

Round 1: HR Round The interview was conducted in the common cafeteria of the building. Questions were mostly of typical HR style where they look for buzzwords in the JD and see if you can iterate them. But there was one interesting question, "Name a public sector Insurance company?" I trade frequently in the stock market, so this one didn't really faze me. Result: Cleared Round 2: Technical Round Finally we got moved into their office. There was about 100 candidates who came to interview for this role and there really wasn't enough space in their office to situate all of us so it makes sense now why they conducted the 1st round in the common cafeteria. "Describe a policy renewal process entirely from a broking perspective"? My answer to this question and the interviewer's subsequent feedback to my answer took about 30 minutes, and it ended up being the only question asked during the interview. Result: Cleared Round 3: Assessment MCQ style proctored assessment that consisted of 4 sections: English Grammar, Logical Reasoning, Insurance and Accounting. 30 marks for English and 20 marks each for the rest. Sectional timing enabled with 10 mins for Insurance and 20 mins each for the rest. Honestly, I thought Insurance section would be the hardest but it ended up being the easiest. I had some experience with SSC exams before so the English section was a breeze. I tried to work out the reasoning problems using pen and paper but the moment I looked down from the screen, the camera immediately buzzed. Solving the reasoning qs on my mind alone was a struggle. Accounting was a challenge as well because I don't have a commerce background and the questions didn't seem relevant to the job. Result: Cleared
