I completed the technical screener and received an email to schedule the first round interview with Gap. The email seemed like a templated blast email that they send to candidates for multiple roles because there was a lot of information in it that was not relevant to the internship that I was applying to. When I went to schedule the interview there was only 1 day available for me to do so in the scheduling tool. This seemed a little inconsiderate of candidate's busy schedules, they should offer more than one day to complete the interview. The interview itself was straightforward and I thought it went very well. I was able to answer all of the interviewers questions and I felt like I had the experience required to succeed in the role. I then didn't hear anything from Gap for over six weeks until I received another blast email saying that they had filled all positions for masters students and were now only looking for PhD students. Overall, this was a poor candidate experience. Gap needs to communicate much better with candidates in order to compete with other firms in the industry.
