I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gap (Waterloo, ON) in Sep 2011
Interview
I applied online. I got a call within the week stating that they wanted me to come in for a 1:1 interview.
The managers seemed very friendly. They asked questions such as:
-where do you get your sense of fashion
-when have you dealt with a stressful situation with a customer and how was it resolved
-why do you want to work here
-what hours are you looking for (quantity and timing)
The interview went well, and they offered me the job on the spot.

Question 1
Nothing was difficult...tyoical retail interview questions. Just be upbeat and enthusiastic.
Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
