I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Gap (London, England) in Nov 2015
Interview
I submitted my application online and four days later i got a call from the assistant manager of the branch asking if I'd be able to come in for an interview in the next two days. I confirmed my interview and went into the shop on the scheduled day.
I was taken to the staff room to wait for the assistant manager, when she came we went to her office and she asked me a few questions: why GAP? My style icon? Why I chose to wear what I wore? Best customer service given?
Then i spent 10 minutes on the shop floor, I was paired up with an existing team member and she explained how to store works and taught me a few things on how the display of clothes is arranged. When that was over the manager brought me back to my office and told me she'd call me at the en of the day to tell me whether I got the job or not. I then received a call at the end of their opening hours telling me I got the job.

Group interview with other candidates with the store manager. Arrive at the store and wait for other candidates. Then interview happens in break room and it lasted roughly about 30-60minutes
It was a group interview of about 10-12 people. If I remember correctly they take you to the back, the stock room, and ask almost everyone the same question. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
It was very easy, one in person interview with the general manager and then I was accepted! Mainly personality and behavioral questions were asked, and I think enthusiasm on my end helped the most.
