I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Gartner (Egham, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
Clunky, long winded and painful.
The process itself took 6 months from initial interview to final stage due to I quote "being sat on the bench" waiting for the right role. 'People come to Gartner, Gartner dont go to people' was the arrogant recruitment approach meaning candidates were left waiting for roles to appear after being interviewed rather than being interviewed for a specific available role.
Interview stages were drawn out over months and were coffee catch ups with no real structure spread all over the country. Final stage was a very American style 'panel' roleplay which was unrealistic and awkward as it's like being in a drama class with an audience watching and note taking whilst you sell to a guy pretending to be someone else.

Question 1
What specific role do you want to be in at Gartner in 10 years time?
Avoid this interview process at all costs. It felt like nothing more than a data gathering exercise rather than a genuine hiring effort. Every single round was conducted by a recruiter — I never spoke with an actual hiring manager or team member. A complete waste of time and effort. I would not recommend applying.
First round HR screening. Second round detailed personality analysis interview. Third round manager interview to ask about experience and motivations. Last round panel interview with presentation to describe why you're a good fit. Strong emphasis on personality fit.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner
Interview
It was okay. Two interviews, phone call and zoom. Zoom was a bit weird all very feedback approached. Had to do a role play of a cold call, which I do everyday to someone who has no cold calling experience so not sure that’s the best judge
