I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Jun 2021
Interview
Quite a long process but I was in a rush due to another job offer and managed to get all 5 interviews in 2 weeks which was highly appreciated. I had two screening calls with a recruiter, a skill assesor interview that tests your fitness for the role, another feedback call from recruiters and the final panel with two managers(national and regional) and the two recruiters.
All in all, very professional and worthy process. Expect to be challenged, though.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tones of questions are asked during the process. Gartner is a feedback oriented company so they expect that you ask a lot of questions and apply the answers in the following calls or right after you have been provided with the feedback.
As it is a consultative sales role, they want to test your ability to express yourself in situational context and apply a process that has been previously described to you. Research into Power of 3 and STAR method.
- Describe a time you were provided with feedback and how you applied it.
- A time where you had to be resourceful
- Why Sales
- Why Gartner
- How you adjusted your prospecting during the pandemic
- How Gartner earns money
Avoid this interview process at all costs. It felt like nothing more than a data gathering exercise rather than a genuine hiring effort. Every single round was conducted by a recruiter — I never spoke with an actual hiring manager or team member. A complete waste of time and effort. I would not recommend applying.

Interview
It was okay. Two interviews, phone call and zoom. Zoom was a bit weird all very feedback approached. Had to do a role play of a cold call, which I do everyday to someone who has no cold calling experience so not sure that’s the best judge
