I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Sep 2014
Interview
The process too about 4 weeks. I applied through an employee referral and was contacted by a recruiter from their corporate office in Stamford. This interview was pretty standard, just vetting my credentials. The next interview was over the phone with a local area recruiter, again asking about my prior work experience and trying to understand if I had the qualities that Gartner is looking for. The third phone interview was with 2 managers who questioned me about my drive, followed by a mock sales call. The last interview was an in person panel interview, consisting of a walkthrough with an existing Account Manager, a panel interview with an area manager and regional VP, and another mock sales call.
Gartner expects the absolute best from their candidates, and that is what you need to show them. They want to know that being number 1 is your top priority, and that you have a natural curiosity about the role. Ask as many questions as you can, both in the interview and in the roleplays and you should make it to the final round.

Question 1
If you had to choose between meeting 95% of your sales goal, but have 2-3 clients give you amazing feedback, or overachieving your goal by 120% with 2-3 negative feedbacks, what would you choose?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Apr 2019
Interview
The interview process was composed of five steps.
4 steps were interviews on the phone with recruiters, steps number 3 and 4 including a little sales role-play.
The final step was in person in the Barcelona office with the recruiter that was there since the beginning of the process, a manager and the VP of sales.
Overall, the process was very smooth and I was very well accompanied receiving constructive feedback (very helpful!) from the recruiter between each step.
They really want you to do well and give you all the info you need to succeed.
Special thanks to Roberta !
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Describe a time when you showed integrity in your work.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Egham, England)
Interview
4 rounds of interviews:
1. Initial phone call & Gartner Introduction
2. Phone call consisting of "Tell me a time when" questions
3. Continuation of stage 2 with more detail and a phone call role play
4. Assessment day with another role play
From my experience the recruitment process overall was excellent.
It was was well organised and they gave candidates tangible feedback on how to improve. The company is big on coaching and likes people who can take advise and continually develop.
If you have done sales before it should be challenging but not too difficult.
Also make sure you apply for other jobs simultaneously as I feel the company took me more seriously when they knew I was applying for multiple roles.
