I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Jul 2021
Interview
You have to go through 4 steps as an outside candidate. A phone screen, an HR recruiter, a Lead Skills Assessor and finally a panel interview with the hiring managers.
The LSA process is SUPPOSED to keep the process fair and balanced but the LSA interviewer has sole discretion as to whether you move on in the process which is flawed. My LSA interviewer gave me great feedback and said I was an excellent candidate to my face and then lied and put in my evaluation that I was not a good sales hire. This is the type of thing that happens all the time to minority candidates where white managers or recruiters give good feedback to their face and say something different in a review or evaluation.
Gartner is no different than any other corporation in regards to diversity issues. If Gartner was truly serious about diversity they would remove the implicit bias in the LSA process by actually getting diverse recruiters.
Avoid this interview process at all costs. It felt like nothing more than a data gathering exercise rather than a genuine hiring effort. Every single round was conducted by a recruiter — I never spoke with an actual hiring manager or team member. A complete waste of time and effort. I would not recommend applying.

Interview
It was okay. Two interviews, phone call and zoom. Zoom was a bit weird all very feedback approached. Had to do a role play of a cold call, which I do everyday to someone who has no cold calling experience so not sure that’s the best judge
