I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner Studios, Inc in Feb 2007
Interview
Initial phone interview, then face to face. Offer made over the phone. Owner likes to promise things, but never comes forward with them. Lot of nepotism here.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gartner Studios, Inc (Lincoln, RI) in Dec 2010
Interview
I was recruited by the EVP of Marketing as we had worked together previously, there was no interview process. Other hires were brought in for an interview and would first often sit with the EVP first and if she felt good about the candidate she would have the Creative Director of Product Managers sit with the candidate as well. While the EVP was responsible for the final decision, the opinions of PMs and the CR were weighed in.

Again, since I did not interview, I don't know. But they would certainly be geared toward, brand management, product development and analysis............greeting cards are so sku intensive (we had 8,000 in total, 4,000 everyday cards and 4,000 seasonal cards, the the entirety of the lines, they need to be manager through sales analysis, which the PM's did themselves.
