It is a 3 step interview, you start off with a phone interview, and then you have an in person interview with the manager. If you get asked to do an interview with the general manager, more than likely you have the job. Make sure you wear business attire. A background check and drug test is required. the interview process is usually really friendly, they try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The biggest thing they look for is someone who is wanting to make this company their career. They love employees who have drive and motivation.

They do not ask technical questions, having a background in computers does help, but most of the computer stuff you will learn while working for best buy. Most of the questions are more personality questions and seeing how you work best with others. It is a company in which you have to be able to work as a team and be able to answer those questions appropriately. They want examples for every question they ask, so be prepared to come up with examples for questions such as: How well do you work with a team, what was the most difficult team you were on, and how do you handle a difficult employee.

The interview process was straightforward and conversational. It started with a few questions about my background, my résumé, and what motivated me to apply for Geek Squad.
